Acceptable Use Policy
This policy applies to anyone using our services, our website, or the Wanjibots Business Management and POS system — customers, staff, sub-agents, subscribers and their users. It exists so that one person's misuse does not cost everybody else their service.
1. The general rule
Use our services honestly, lawfully, and for what they are for. Almost everything below follows from that.
2. Money and financial conduct
You must not use our services to:
- Launder money, or move the proceeds of crime;
- Finance terrorism, or transact with sanctioned persons or entities;
- Split a large transaction into smaller ones to dodge identification or reporting thresholds ("structuring");
- Transact in someone else's name, or use a SIM or account registered to someone else, without their knowledge and lawful authority;
- Present forged, altered or borrowed identification;
- Claim a payment reference that is not yours, or a payment that was reversed;
- Obtain goods, credit or float by deception;
- Run a pyramid, Ponzi or similar scheme through our counters.
We are required to report suspicious activity to the authorities, and we do. We will not tip off anyone that a report has been made, because the law forbids it.
3. SIM cards and telecommunications
- Registering a SIM requires the genuine holder present with genuine identification. No exceptions, no favours.
- Pre-registering SIMs, registering lines against another person's ID, or bulk-registering to inflate numbers is prohibited and is a criminal offence.
- Claiming commission on registrations or activations that did not genuinely happen is fraud against us, and will be treated as such.
- Lines may not be used for spam, fraud, harassment or scam calls.
4. Using the POS and management system
If you have a login to our system, whether as staff or as a subscriber's user:
- Your login is yours alone. Do not share your password, do not let someone transact under your name, and do not leave a session open on an unattended device. Everything done under your login is attributed to you.
- Do not try to get round a control. Approval steps, branch restrictions, void authorisations and the audit trail are there on purpose. Working around them is a disciplinary matter and, where money is involved, a criminal one.
- Do not enter data you know to be false — a count you did not take, a reason that is not the real reason, a commission claim for work that was not done.
- Do not export, copy or photograph customer data, price lists, supplier terms or staff records for any purpose other than your job.
- Do not attempt to access another branch's data, another person's account, or any screen your role does not give you.
- Report what you notice. If you find a way to do something you should not be able to do, say so. Nobody is penalised for reporting a weakness; people are penalised for exploiting one.
5. Technical conduct
You must not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems, accounts or networks;
- Probe, scan or test our security without our prior written permission;
- Introduce malware, or anything designed to damage, disrupt or intercept;
- Overload our systems, or run automated requests, scraping or bulk downloads;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or copy our software except as the law expressly permits;
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, audit or security feature;
- Use our systems to store or transmit unlawful content.
If you are a security researcher and believe you have found a vulnerability, email wanjibotslimited1@gmail.com with the details. Report it privately, do not access or alter other people's data, and give us a reasonable time to fix it. We will not pursue anyone who acts in good faith on those terms.
6. Conduct towards people
Our staff are entitled to work without abuse. Threatening, harassing, intimidating or assaulting a member of staff, or any other customer, will end the transaction immediately and may end your ability to use our branches. Discrimination and harassment on any ground are not tolerated, in either direction.
7. Content you send us
Whatever you submit — an enquiry, a job application, a review, a document — must be yours to send, accurate, and lawful. Do not send us other people's personal data without their knowledge, defamatory statements, or anything that infringes someone's copyright.
8. What happens if these rules are broken
| Situation | What we do |
|---|---|
| A minor or apparently accidental breach | We tell you, and ask you to put it right. |
| A repeated or deliberate breach | We suspend the account, login or service while we look into it. |
| Fraud, theft or a serious security breach | Immediate termination of access, recovery of any loss, and a report to the police and the relevant regulator. |
| A staff member | The disciplinary procedure, and where money is involved, a criminal report. Employment is not a shield. |
| A subscriber's user | We notify the subscriber and may suspend that user, or the subscription, under the Subscription Terms. |
Where we suspend or terminate, we will tell you what rule was broken and what evidence we relied on, unless telling you would prejudice an investigation or breach the law. You may appeal in writing to management.
9. Our own conduct
These obligations run both ways. We will not misuse your data, will not act outside the mandates our partner banks and providers give us, and hold our own staff and directors to the same audit trail as everybody else — including the parts that cannot be edited or deleted by anyone. If you think we have fallen short, say so through our complaints route.
