Terms and Conditions

The agreement between you and Wanjibots Limited · Last reviewed 21 September 2026

These terms apply when you use any Wanjibots Limited service — at a counter, on this website, or through our shop. Using our services means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not transact with us.

1. Who we are

Wanjibots Limited, a company registered in Kenya, operating from Matasia and Karen. "We", "us" and "our" mean Wanjibots Limited. "You" means the person or business using our services.

2. What we are, and what we are not

This matters more than anything else on this page.

  • For Airtel Money and M-Pesa, we are an agent. The wallet, the network and the money in it are the provider's. We help you put cash in or take it out.
  • For bank agency services, we act on behalf of Co-operative Bank, Equity Bank or KCB under agency banking arrangements. Your account is with the bank, not with us. We are not a bank and we do not take deposits on our own account.
  • For SIM registration, we register lines on behalf of Airtel Kenya under the Communications Authority's rules. The line, and the KYC record, belong to Airtel.
  • For property management, we act as the landlord's agent. We collect and account for rent; we do not own the property.

Where a transaction depends on a provider's system, we can only do our part. If Airtel, Safaricom or a bank is down, or reverses something at their end, that is outside our control — but we will always tell you honestly what happened and help you pursue it with them.

3. Identification

We may ask for your original national ID, passport or other acceptable identification before completing a transaction, and we must do so for certain amounts and for SIM registration. This is a legal requirement, not a matter of trust. If you cannot or will not identify yourself where identification is required, we will decline the transaction.

4. Getting the transaction right

Before you leave the counter, check the amount, the destination number or account, and the confirmation message. Money sent to a number you gave us correctly cannot be recalled by us. It has gone to that person's wallet.

If we make a mistake — the wrong amount, the wrong account, a double posting — tell us and we will correct it at our cost. Corrections are made by voiding the wrong entry with a written reason and posting the right one; we do not quietly delete records, and you can be given a copy of both.

If the mistake was in the details you gave us, we will do what we reasonably can to help you recover the money, including tracing it with the provider, but we cannot guarantee recovery and we are not liable for it.

5. Charges

Provider tariffs for deposits, withdrawals and transfers are set by Airtel, Safaricom or the bank, not by us, and are displayed at the counter. Any Wanjibots charge is told to you before the transaction, and appears on your receipt. We do not add charges after the fact.

6. Receipts and tax invoices

You are entitled to a receipt for every transaction. Ask for one if it is not offered.

Kenyan law requires businesses to issue electronic tax invoices through KRA eTIMS. Where a transaction requires one, the tax invoice is the document carrying the KRA control unit invoice number, the control unit signature and the verification QR code. Our own internal receipt is a record of the transaction, but it is the eTIMS invoice that is the tax document. If you need a tax invoice — particularly if you are claiming input VAT — say so at the time of the sale and give us your KRA PIN.

7. Buying from our shop

  • Prices are in Kenya Shillings and include VAT where VAT applies.
  • An order is an offer to buy. A contract exists when we confirm the order and the payment. We may decline an order — for example if the item has sold out or the price was listed in error — and we will refund you in full if we do.
  • We list stock honestly, but two people can order the last item at once. If that happens we will tell you promptly and refund or offer an alternative.
  • Payment references you give us, such as an M-Pesa code, are verified against our statement before an order is released. This protects both of us.
  • Collection and delivery terms are shown at checkout. Risk passes to you on collection or delivery; ownership passes when we have been paid in full.
  • Returns and refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

8. Warranties on goods

Goods we sell carry the manufacturer's warranty where one applies, and your rights under Kenyan consumer law, which we do not attempt to exclude. Warranty does not cover physical damage, liquid damage, unauthorised repair or normal wear. Keep your receipt — it is the proof of purchase date.

9. Credit

Where we agree to supply on credit or to advance float, the terms are set out in writing and signed. Amounts outstanding are due on the agreed date. We may decline further credit while an amount is overdue, and we may recover what is owed through the courts. We do not apply charges that were not agreed in writing beforehand.

10. Using this website

You may use this website for genuine enquiries and orders. You may not attempt to break into it, test its security without our written permission, scrape it, overload it, or use it to send anything unlawful. The Acceptable Use Policy sets this out in full.

The content, branding and design of this site belong to Wanjibots Limited. You may print or save pages for your own reference; you may not republish them as your own.

11. Our liability

We are liable to you for loss we cause by our own negligence or breach of these terms. Subject to that:

  • We are not liable for failures in a provider's or bank's systems, for network outages, or for a provider reversing a transaction at their end.
  • We are not liable for loss arising from details you gave us incorrectly.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or business.
  • Our liability for any single transaction does not exceed the value of that transaction plus any charge we took on it.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that Kenyan law does not permit us to limit.

12. Fraud and security

We will never ask you for your PIN, your password, or a one-time code sent to your phone — not at the counter, not by phone, not by SMS, not on WhatsApp. Anyone who does is committing fraud. Hang up, and report it to us on the numbers on our contact page.

We may refuse or delay a transaction where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering or that someone is being coerced, and we may report it as the law requires. We will tell you we are declining, though we may not always be able to tell you why.

13. Your personal data

Covered by our Privacy Policy and Data Protection page, which form part of these terms.

14. Complaints

Tell the branch first; most things are settled the same day. If not, follow the complaints route on our contact page. You always keep the right to take a matter to your provider, your bank, the ODPC or the courts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its review date. Material changes will be flagged here. Your transactions are governed by the version in force at the time you transacted.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the Kenyan courts have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

This document is published by Wanjibots Limited, a company registered in Kenya. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you rely on it — we would rather explain it than have you guess.

Version of 21 September 2026. We will post a notice on this page when it changes materially, and the date above will change.
